Christie Marie Deardorff; daughter of Jacob Deardorff (1837-1948) & Nancy Brecunier (1841-1919);  Christie was born on 24 Dec 1866 in Franklin Grove, Illinois; died on 31 Dec 1937 in Newberg, Oregon.  Christie married Joseph Milton Curtis (1867-1935) on 12 Oct 1892 in Guthrie County, Iowa.  Joseph was born on 24 Jan 1867 in Bushnell, Illinois; died on 26 Jun 1935 in Berry Creek, California.  Christie was a school teacher; was born into the Brethren Church, then became a Presbyterian;  Joseph was a Carpenter, Mill Operator until 1916.
