Hello,
I am researching my family, I have a name that we have not been able to find, Elizabeth Rohrer (Rorer) who married a Martin Eitniear (Etnier, Eytenier, Itenier) around 1774, started a family in Mrayland, circa 1779 and then journeyed to Shirley Township, Huntington County, Pennsylvania where they settled in the Aughwick Valley near Shirleysburg and had 9 children:  John, 1783 Hagerstown; Margaret 11 may 1781; David 11 April 1784 Huntington; Peter; Elizabeth 1806 Huntington;  Mary 1808; JACOB 1791; Susannah 1810; and Samuel 24 June 1804 Huntington PA.

Jacob was born 2-12-1791, but proof that he is the son of Martin has not been proved.  Martin we have speculated to be the son of Johannes Eitniear, a passenger on the ship; Queen of Denmark arriving in Philadelphia from Rotterdam with 252 passengers on October 4, 1751 and married a woman named Margareth and they had xeven children one of which was Martin.    Jacob's line has been proved if this is the correct line and you would like more information I will be happy to supply this for you.  If you have any information that I can have or sites to find the information it would be greatly appreciated.     Thank You Shelly Kay Eitniear Cherry

I'm sorry I don't have that program.  But, my Aunt Lillie and her son and I have written the lines out.  They are as follows, everything you read has been proven with visits to grave sites in Ohio, Pennsylvannia, Michigan and Maryland, through historical societies, and through family letters, bibles, and recorded information.      Hope this helps in some way, it has not been published as of yet, Lillie will publish out line when it is proven from Jacob back to Johannes.  I also have copies of a passenger list from the Queen Of Denmark with Johannes Edeneyer listed.

JACOB was born 2-12-1791.  Proof that Jacob was the son of Martin has not been documented, although information that has been found indicates that it is probable.  It is believed that Jacob spent his youth helping on the farm and in 1822 traveled to Lancaster County, PA where he met and married Swiss born Rosian Momenteller.  In 1824 they were living in Shirley Township.  They moved back to Lancaster County(circa 1827)  and started a family, producing 8 children:  ABRAHAM (1828), Jacob M. (1832), Rosann (1835), David (1840), Barbary (1842), Maria (1844), and Jacob P. (1854).

Abraham was approximately 11 years old when the family moved to Brown Township, Carrolll County, Ohio.  He grew up in Lancaster County, PA and married Elizabeth Robbins on 2/24/1853.  After the marriage they moved with Jacob and family to Defiance County.  This marriage produced 5 children: Isaac (1854), John Charles (1857), Mary Sue Cinderella (1859), Henry (1861), and Benjamin (1863).  Jacob settled his family on 80 acres in Section 25, Auglaize Twp, Paulding County, while  braham settled I Highland Twp, Defiance coutny.

Jacob and Rosian are buried in Ice Cemetery, Section 25, Auglaize Township, Paulding county, Ohio.  Rosian died 10/18/1874.  Jacob followed her in death on 3/22/1877.

On 5/2/1864, Abraham enlisted in the 169th regiment of the Ohio National Guard.   He mustered in at Camp Cleveland, Ohio on 5/15/ 1864 as a private in Co. David, the information I have on Jacob down to me is documented facts from various census, death certificates, marriages, and direct family.   I will add the word file at the end up to myself.  This information was complied by myself, Lilly (Smith) Eitniear and her son, Tom Eitniear.
