John Brecunier, the son of Daniel Brecunier (1804-1863) & Christina King ( 1806-1875); John was born in 1829 in Shirley Twp. Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, died on 17 Jul 1902.  John married Julia Trostle on 16 Feb 1864 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.  Julia was born about 1839 in Pennsylvania.

John's death date per Nancy Brecunier 1/95;  Cathy (Deardorff) Hinckley said John was killed in the Civil War.

"State of Illinois - Public Domain Land Tract Sales Archive". I entered in the name "John Brecuner" and 
up popped the record of his Federal Land Sale showing he payed 0.00 for 80 acres in 1853. It also gives the record ID #, and County, Township, Meridian numbers etc. Sent by Nancy Brecunier (Oregon).
