Samuel Bragunier came to Carroll County Indiana when he was 2 years old (1835) with his parents. Samuel met Melvina while she was visiting friends in Carroll Co, Indiana, they were married in Carroll Co when Samuel was 36 years old and Melvina Ross was 35 years old.  They lived there until 1884 when they relocated to Melvina's parents farm the "Ross Homestead" in Jackson Township, Champaign County, Ohio. Samuel was a farmer, and earlier shared a farm in Deer Creek Twp. Carroll County Indiana with his younger brother John Jacob Bragonier.  Samuel is buried in the Upper Creek Cemetery, in Christainsburg, Ohio (per B.B Robinson's book Samuel is listed in the Unlinked Branch "C" page 55, and notes from Pat Borke Mason Ohio).
Also Ref: Cemetery Records at the Upper Honey Creek Cemetery, (Ullery) PO Box 67 Christiansburg, Ohio 45389. The Indiana Federal 1860 Census lists Samuel, aged 27, born in PA and living in Carroll County, Deer Creek Township Indiana in 1860 with his mother and brother John Jacob.
Quoting from a "letter" written by Uriah Wingard of Wymore, Nebraska in 1885, "Sam broke up, he is a renter, he was gardeen for Martin oldest boy, he had a good 160 akers all swept away from him when the boy got 21 years".  Sam was living in Deer Creek Twp., in the home with his mother and brother John J.  In 1870 he was in Tippecanoe Twp. Carroll County Indiana age 36 with wife Lavina aged 36 and Katyn age 10 months. In 1880 Samuel was not found in Carroll County Indiana census records, but is said to have moved from Indiana in 1884 to the old Ross Homestead in Jackson Township, Champaign County Ohio".
